Portugal is the only country in Central and Southern Europe to make it into the ranking.
The renowned British magazine Monocle presented the ‘Top 10’ of the cities with the best quality of life in the world: Lisbon appears in this list, in seventh position.
To select and classify the cities, economic criteria were taken into account, as well as safety, availability of services, the offer of green spaces and ecological alternatives, as well as historical and cultural factors.
In a list where European countries are in the majority, the ranking is led by Denmark, with its Capital, Copenhagen. It is followed by Zurich, in Switzerland, and Helsinki, in Finland, completes the podium. In fourth place was Stockholm (Sweden) followed by Tokyo (Japan), Vienna (Austria), Lisbon, as already mentioned in 7th place, Auckland (New Zealand), Taipei (Taiwan) and Sydney (Australia) closes the top.
